We prefer automated bill upload via our email forwarding platform, but you can manually upload your bills to Bill Hero for analysis whenever you need to.
Automated bill upload
Our preferred and recommended approach is to instruct your retailer to use the unique Bill Hero email forwarding address that we provide for you.
Your Bill Hero forwarding address is auto-generated, based on your personal email address - e.g. [email protected] would become [email protected].
Every message sent to your Bill Hero email forwarding address is immediately auto-forwarded to your personal email address, so you'll still receive them in your own email inbox.
By routing retailer emails via Bill Hero, the system automatically has visibility of each bill and will automatically analyse and compare each bill for you on every billing cycle, without you needing to do anything at all.
Manual bill upload
You can manually upload bills any time by email or web upload:
Send bills as email attachments to [email protected]
Upload bills via the web form at https://www.billhero.com.au/bill-upload
Before you send in a bill manually, here's what you need to know:
One at a time: Please send your bill(s) one at a time. If you upload multiple bills together, be aware that by default, Bill Hero will identify and analyse the most recent bill only.
PDF preferred: Bill Hero prefers the PDF bills that your retailer sends to you as email attachments. You can forward the entire bill email, including the attachment, to [email protected], and our system will automatically analyse it for you.
Scanned or photo bills: If you only receive paper bills, you'll need to take photos or scans. Please make sure that you take clear, high-quality images at an easily readable resolution and include the entire frame for every page in the bill, without any cropping. You'll need to take multiple photos for a single bill – please upload all images for a single bill, together.
Good to know:
Photo or scanned paper bills require manual processing, so the data extraction process takes up to 2 days to complete before comparison can be performed.
Tip:
It's possible to perform out-of-cycle and seasonal analyses by manually uploading bills to [email protected]. For example, if you're interested in a comparison analysis for a future time period, you can approximate this by manually uploading a bill for the equivalent period in the previous year.
Manual bill upload via email
If you've received your bill as an email attachment, the easiest way to get it into Bill Hero is to forward the entire email message, including the attachment(s), to [email protected]
Bill Hero uses the from:
address for each email sent to [email protected]
, to identify the subscription it belongs to. If you send from an unknown address, the system will not automatically process the bill and will send an automated notification to inform you of the issue.
If you need to change or update to your personal email, contact Bill Hero support to avoid processing issues.
